Fantastic experience at AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care in Raleigh! I showed up early at 8 AM, and Gavin at the front desk went above and beyond to help me out. We went over some repair options, and he quickly got my car into the shop to be diagnosed. He was kind and provided truly genuine service, which can be hard to find in the auto repair industry. The whole team of technicians here does great work on transmissions and general car care. I highly recommend this Raleigh mechanic to anyone!

Short version - LOVE THE SERVICE RECEIVED!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Long version: My son is a student at NC State and he called me stating that his car was "jerky". I told him to take his car to a mechanic shop around Raleigh but call first to verify if they can diagnosis it the same day. He called a few and only one could give him a diagnosis the same day (Wednesday). He called me back and told me what the mechanic said but as his mom, I needed to hear it from the mechanic . I called the shop and spoke to Gavin. Gavin answered all my questions and explained to me what repair was needed and why it was needed. He emailed me documentation showing all repairs needed along with the cost. I was offered 3 financing options since we needed extensive transmission work. I told Gavin that this work needed to be completed by Friday because my son would not have access to transportation after that. Gavin called me every morning at 8am EST to provide a status update. I live in a different time zone but I didn't care about the early call. I was grateful for the calls on Thursday and Friday morning. All repairs were made by Friday and my son was able to pick up his car. It's been a few weeks since

Cannot recommend the team and their services at the Capital Blvd location enough. They are quick, thorough, and sincere. I took a car I was looking at buying to this location, and Jerry test drove and looked it over with detailed attention. He spoke with a vast and tried knowledge, giving honest advice and clear explanations as if we’d been friends for 20 years. Never once did I feel lost or confused when he spoke with me, taking the time to go the extra mile with a smile. 5 stars for sure, all day. Hands down the best transmission shop in Raleigh! George and Jerry are super friendly and really knows their stuff. They took care of my car like it was their own and kept me updated throughout the process. I felt extremely confident in their expertise, and the repairs were done faster than I expected. If you want reliable service and honest advice, this is the place to be!! I should’ve done this a long time ago they’ve helped me so much on all my vehicles and all of the cars from our dealership! (Belmonte Auto Imports) This is the best place in Raleigh to fix your transmission or any driveline related issues.. I simply do not know what I would do without them and I cannot thank them enough. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE Disclaimer-all franchises are not the same. The alleged documents provided are for you to research yourself the business model of AAMCO. You would think with an alleged 40% failure rate and 7.5% Royalty Fee customer service should be a priority. The customer service and lack of due care I received was unacceptable. Jerry Irizarry who claims to be part owner was very dismissive. You are not allowed to drive your vehicle until payment is made. What happens in less than 24 hours? Holiday weekend no one to call, when I get stranded for 6 hours, 45 miles away trying to get a tow. A complete loss of power, gears, fluids , smoke and totally inoperable. Warranty by the way does not cover a tow. I have been to the shop 3x in less than 45 days. However, Jerry paid me back for the $370 tow because he felt sorry for me? Or because I filed a complaint with the Attorney General. Repairs have been done but my vehicle still is not shifting properly nor does it have the power it had before. AAMCO customer support was very rude as well. There is so much more to this story. I DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORKMANSHIP. Go with the underdog who sees you, hears you and apprec
